Cameron Gipson
Cameron is a comic book artist, storyboarder, and illustrator born and based in Brooklyn, New York. His work blends traditional Western comics and Eastern manga and anime styles with his own inner-city touch. While growing up, he rarely saw people of color properly represented in comics and anime, despite all his friends identifying with the characters in those mediums regardless of their race or background. His work centers people of color in fantastical scenarios, bringing a unique cultural perspective that still resonates with a wide audience. Cameron has a BFA in comics from The School of Visual Arts and has worked for various clients such as Adidas, OnRunning, Athletes Unlimited, and Runa.
